Smokeless Tobacco

There are 3 types of Smokeless Tobacco

  1. Chewing Tobacco a tobacco leaf mixed with sugar and molasses and packed in a pouch.
  2. Snuff:   Moist, finally divided tobacco  Usually flavored.
  3. Dry snuff:  finely ground and snuffed through the nostrils.

Some people think that chewing tobacco is a good substitute for cigarettes. But that is not so. It can cause cancer and other non-cancerous health challenges. These are just some of the additives.

…  Polonium 210   (nuclear waste)

… Formaldehyde (embalming fluid)

… Cadmium (used in car batteries)

… Arsenic

… Cyanide

Smokeless tobacco contains higher quantities of nicotine than most cigarettes.  It affects the cardiovascular system, increasing the heartbeat, constricts blood vessels and can increase blood pressure.

In time, changes often occur in the regions of the mouth where tobacco is placed.   It can lead to staining of the teeth, recession of the gums, thickened white patches of leukoplakia in the oral lining.

There are many other negative effects from smokeless tobacco, and life quality is much improved if you do not indulge in it.   Don’t fool yourself that you are doing a good thing because you are not smoking cigarettes.

There are methods to effectively stop using smokeless tobacco, one of which is hypnosis, which is extremely effective and non invasive.

Give yourself the best chance for a long, healthy and happy life!  Think of the money that can be saved and put towards positive things that enhance your life – vacations, better health, financial security.
