Happy New Year
A new year is seen by most as an opportunity to start anew. To let go of what was and create a different, perhaps more positive approach to our daily life.
In order to achieve this, we have to allow ourselves to see things from a different perspective, allowing ourselves to believe that we can change old negative patterns into positive ones.
Sometimes this means leaving what was where it belongs – in the past. For we are on a journey forward and it is hard to go forward when we are constantly looking in the rear view mirror at what lies behind us.
So recognize that we can make positive changes in our life, however small they may seem. Yes, they may be small but each change can take us closer to living the happy, healthy life we all desire. A wise old man once told me
“Hazel, you cannot always do what you want to do to have what you want to have.”
His words have served me well.
Whatever your reality is right now, you have the power of your thoughts to guide you forward. It is within your power to view the start of the coming year as a time of rebirth that allows you to focus on what you want to accomplish in the coming weeks, months, and years ahead.
So go into your future, one day at a time, making small positive changes whenever possible, knowing that each one counts.
Happy New Year!
